Frequently Asked Questions

Client:   I have several properties which are leasehold and have found that the leasFeeholder's buildings cover does not include fixtures and fittings (normally buildings but not included in Freeholder's property) and accidental damage by Leaseholder, tenants, occupants etc.
Do you offer policies which include buildings cover for only these uninsured risks plus contents/landlords etc?

Our answer:   We do have a Landlord Insurance Policy which is very popular with our landlords who have flats where the freeholder arranges the buildings insurance but does not cater the internals of the flat. We can specify as part of our landlord contents policy kitchen units and sanitary ware. Accidental damage is included and as standard we cover carpets, curtains, domestic white good, furnishings and furniture (and any other households contents). NB: Any contents must belong to the landlord and not tenant. Loss of rent cover (not rent guarantee) can be added when the property becomes unoccupied due to an insurance peril such as fire or flood.
